This is the area around where we live now. We love it.

Dear Vicki,
I hope you will forgive my excitement as I found your blog.
I am coming to Bogota on Monday, the 13th. I am looking for a residence to place a friend of my husband's, who is a native Colombian. He is a 78 year old man with dementia. He is Catholic and I understand that if I cannot find a member of his family to care for him, the Sisters of Charity at St. Vincent de Paul will help me with him. I am in the Northern California area and serve as the Public Affairs director. I am looking for someone who will act as an interpreter for me as I will need to do some genealogical research at the parish where his christening records come from, somewhere through the city's records, as well as interviewing people and care facilities. I do not speak enough Spanish to take care of this issue myself. I hope that I can find a member family that will put me up instead of a hotel as I will be there until the 26th.
If you can be of any assistance when I arrive in town, I would be most appreciative. I have already contacted a wonderful Elder at the South Bogota Mission home and he has given me much good information.
Excited to meet you when I come to town,
Sister Yvonne Bent
El Cerrito California.

Dear Vicki,
I am looking for the best way to get communication. What should I do for a cell phone? What has worked for you?
